We are a community on a mission.
My City My Health is a nonprofit health education, health promotion, and health awareness organization rooted in community. We exist to help people better understand what shapes health in real life.
Health starts with being seen.
Community health gets stronger when people feel seen, informed, connected, and heard.
That is why our work starts with people: their stories, lived experience, questions, needs, and ideas. We believe that before you can serve a community well, you have to actually listen to it. Not just survey it. Not just measure it. Actually listen.
When communities have access to accurate, relevant, and culturally connected health information, they are better equipped to make decisions, advocate for themselves, and support each other.
We are not only sharing information. We are learning while we serve.
Through conferences, newsletters, podcasts, content, partnerships, and community presence, we gather insight that helps people and organizations better understand what communities are actually facing.
We Listen First
Before we produce content or build programs, we create space for the community to speak. Conferences. Conversations. Events. Feedback loops.
We Close the Loop
What we hear in community spaces doesn't stay there. We document it, translate it, and turn it into stories, partnerships, and action.
We Stay Rooted
Our work stays connected to the community that drives it. We center lived experience, cultural relevance, and community trust in everything we do.
How we work.
Everything we do follows a simple but intentional cycle — one that keeps community at the center from start to finish.
Listen
We create spaces for real conversations. Conferences, events, newsletters, podcasts, and community presence all serve as listening infrastructure.
Document
We capture stories, questions, themes, and lived experience — not just for reporting, but as living evidence of what the community needs.
Translate
We turn community insight into accessible content, stories, reports, and partnerships that people and organizations can actually use.
Move
We use what we learn to help partners, leaders, and communities take informed, community-grounded action toward better health.
Why we exist.
To improve community health through awareness, education, storytelling, and insight gathered from the people and communities we serve.
Move the City Forward.
Move the City Forward is our vision for what becomes possible when communities are informed, connected, equipped, and seen. It is not a slogan. It is a direction. Every initiative, every conversation, every story we tell is a step toward that vision.
