My City My Health Hosts First "My City Talks" Event on HIV Awareness Featuring a Live Recording of the My City My Health Podcast

Des Moines, IA – 11/20/2024 – My City My Health is excited to announce its very first My City Talks event, focusing on HIV Awareness, which will take place on Wednesday, December 6, 2024, at The Slow Down Coffee Company in Des Moines. This new event series is dedicated to sparking meaningful conversations around critical public health issues, starting with the prevention of HIV, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and Hepatitis.

The evening will bring together expert speakers, community leaders, and advocates to share insights and resources aimed at reducing stigma and equipping attendees with actionable strategies for prevention. 

A highlight of the evening will be a live recording of the My City My Health Podcast, offering attendees an exclusive opportunity to be part of the conversation as it happens. This engaging podcast session will feature expert speakers and community advocates discussing prevention strategies, reducing stigma, and improving health outcomes.

“We’re launching My City Talks to address the public health challenges our communities face. We are excited to partner with Stop HIV Iowa for our first My City Talk.,” said Corey Dion Lewis, Founder of My City My Health. “This event is about education, empowerment, and creating a healthier future for everyone.”

The event will take place from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, offering a space for open dialogue, education, and networking with health professionals and community members.
